to understand her back round you must understand what she is she is a star
now each star (outer star = the part we see inner star = person)
holds incredible powerful being inside it that sleeps until there is a need of them (Example: giant war threatening all of creation) but it happens sometimes when a inner star is corrupted the star will transported to earth stripped of there powers and there outer star will disappear but if the outer star is opened prematurely in an attempt to steal the inner star's power they will be transported to earth but they will get to keep there powers but after a great deal of time away from the outer star there powers will fade
that is what happened to Chara some unknown psycho tried to tap into her outer star's power thus throwing her to earth now she wanders the planet trying to find a way to get herself back home before her star fades and she dies
