though she is neither dead nor alive she can still feel pain like a normal human and if you take away her flute won't be able to steal souls
Bio
Mawata was a normal woman nothing special in fact the nothing set her apart from other women she had a husband and a three children two boys and one little girl she worked as a science professor at a High school near her home
one day as she was getting ready to leave she saw a couple of students going in one of the class rooms this wasn't right it was after hours they should be going home so she quickly followed after as soon as she opened the door she saw they were chanting around some sort of magic circle that glowed with a flute in the middle she stormed in and demand an explanation stepping into the circle by accident they started to scream at her to get out and that they needed to stay just for a little while longer to finish what they were doing but she would hear nothing of it and sent them home and took the flute with her
over the next few weeks weird things started to happen everything from strange shadows appearing with out anything to cast them to floating objects Mawata thought they were pranks or something
then late one April night a robber broke into her house her and her family were asleep he went straight for the flute she had brought home but he woke up Mawata's kids they got up to see what made the noise when the robber saw them he shot and killed all of them after hearing the shots Mawata and her husband rushed out of bed only to see their children lying dead on the floor Mawata's husband was shot down quickly but Mawata was able to grab the flute away from the robber and bash him over the head a few times but then was shot down as well and as she faded away she saw the robber climb out of the window
but she was not dead
she awoke the next week very confused and in the morgue with the flute in her hand she walked out as every one stared at her like they had seen a ghost
she didn't understand until she picked up a newspaper dated to a few days before it read about how her and her family were killed by some unknown person she began to weep confused and scared
awhile later she looked at the flute she had in her hands and it began to glow suddenly a figure appeared dressed in a black cloak and said he was the old guardian of the flute then explained to her that by not only interrupting the ceremony the students were trying to finish but by taking the flute she had become the new guardian herself and now she could not die and rejoin her family no matter how hard she tried unless she gathered souls to fill a quota and not just any souls powerful souls once her quota was filled she had to find a new guardian to pass it on to she protested that didn't know how to gather souls and even if she did she couldn't kill anyone
the figure explained that she had to do is knock out her victim then play her flute then a gem will appear out of there chest that was there soul and all she had to do was take it they would look dead but as long as the soul was intact they wouldn't die
she begged to see if there was another way for her to be with her family again
the figure shook his head there was no other way
finally after hours trying to talk her way out of it she finally excepted defeat
the last thing's the figure told her before disappearing was where she could find the man who killed her and her family
after that she wasted no time she head for the place the man was hiding she wasn't going to let him get away with it
she found him and took his soul and crushed is there for killing him
now she will do what ever it takes to get back to her family
